Shoe Drive
Our school National Honor Society has selected Footprints of Michigan to benefit from their planned service project for this school year and would like YOUR help! Footprints of Michigan provides new and gently used footwear to people in need all over the state. They also have specific programs to support students (Boots on the Playground) and veterans (Soles4Vets).
Our National Honor Society chapter would like to challenge YOU to help with a schoolwide shoe drive to support this cause (or encourage you to participate and donate to a local charity near you). Our goal is to collect at least 400 pairs of shoes as a school!

State Testing Practice!
State Testing is creeping up on us! April will be here before we know it . Here is how to practice:
PSAT 8/9/10 and SAT(11): Download the Bluebook app and practice using the same interface, format and scoring as the digital P/SAT. You will need your College Board Account login information. If you do not have a College Board account, create one.
Embedded calculator to practice with: Desmos
MSTEP 6/7/8/11: Navigate to the Michigan Department of Education’s website and choose Online Tools Training for M-Step. Choose the appropriate grade level for sample items. Practice with the embedded calculator.
ACT WorkKeys (11) : Navigate to the ACT WorkKeys Assessment Preparation website and choose each section to practice sample questions. While there is a separate portion for taking ACT WorkKeys online, GLLA will be paper-pencil based.
Can I bring my own calculator? Approved Calculators

- Students Must complete 30.5 hours of school work each week, or 6.1 hours per day.
- School work can be completed Monday-Sunday.
- Failure to meet the weekly minimum requirement will result in escalated truancy status.
- Typically a phone call and/or 1-to-1 live lesson session.
- Text messages are encouraged for additional support, but do not count toward the monthly synchronous communication requirement.
- Students are also encouraged to maintain regular communications with their course-specific teachers as well.
